Risca RFC is pleased to announce that, Chris Cornford will be joining the coaching team for the coming season. Chris will be responsible for the forwards plus taking on the responsibility of Head Coach.

Chris is an experienced Level 3 coach, his portfolio of coaching includes - Caerleon RFC, Monmouth RFC & Whiteheads RFC., along with the Dragons Regional Age Grade Womens teams at 16s & 18s level.

Chris is also a WRU Coach Educator and with this experience, will help further develop the coaching personel at all levels at the club.

Upon his appointment, Chris states:

After coaching at Whitehead rfc for the last 4 years  (winning Division3C 2018/19) joining a great club like Risca RFC is a great opportunity and challenge.

Im really exited about joining Risca a club that I have admired for a long time. Risca has a great Mini and Junior section that underpins the club for future senior players.

Looking forward to working with a new coaching team that im sure can bring stability and success to Risca.

My first job will be holding a meeting with all players and support staff to explain my vision for the upcoming season.
