A great start for Risca saw them score a try and a conversion within five minutes,

with Mike Burke taking an interception just on Risca's twenty-two metre line to run in under the posts with a conversion by Greg Jones.

It was all Risca and with twelve minutes on the clock Risca took a good line-out and some excellent inter-passing among  the forwards saw Callum Anderson roll-over wide-out for a good try converted by Greg Jones.

Just on the half hour Rumney put it all together to score two excellent tries with the help of Risca's very poor attempt to make any tackling, one try was converted, and just on the stroke of half-time Risca struck a good penalty from wide-out through Jones.

Half-time Rumney 12 points Risca 17 Points.

It was fourteen minutes into the second half Rumney a excellent driving maul by Rumney took them over Risca's line wide out but the conversion failed.

With fifteen minutes left on the clock an excellent break by Rhys James with Marc Bale right on his shoulder to get behind the posts for a cracking effort Owain Biddiscombe got the conversion.

Rumney then scored two tries within four minutes both converted, both tries were scored by their centre-partnership with some excellent strong running aided by poor attempted tackling by Risca.

Rumney deserved their victory.
