It is with sadness that the club has to announce that Graham Hale Roberts sadly passed away suddenly on the first of May at the Royal Gwent Hospital. Graham enjoyed many years playing in the backs at Risca and also captained the club for one season.
Graham has a long history with Risca RFC. His father, Herbert Roberts, was also a life member . More recently Graham spent many Saturday afternoons watching his son's and grandson playing for Risca on the Stores field.
As a mark of respect, a one minute silence will be observed prior to the Ben Francis Cup final this Saturday at Crosskeys RFC. A very fitting tribute given Graham played for both Risca and Crosskeys.
Grahams' funeral will be held 2pm on 21st May at Hope Baptist Church Crosskeys followed by internment at 3pm at Dany-Graig cemetery Risca.
