Risca Athletic have been successful in the application to play in the newly formed WRU Conference league for the coming season. The league will cover all of South Wales.
This is a massive step up for the team who have always played in the Gwent, Newport & Pontypool league (and previously Newport & District) winning the Premier Division League seven times in the last eight seasons. The newly formed league will stretch the technical, tactical and physical attributes of the players and a stronger mental attitude will be required to compete in this very challenging league.
This is a testament of the hard work put in by coaches, players and administration at the club.
