After three away victories Risca got their first home win of the season at the Stores Field, with Adam Price making his 50th appearance for Risca.

A powerful performance up front and improvements behind saw Risca totally in charge all through ,but they failed to get the bonus point. It was fourteen minutes before Risca took the lead with a well struck penalty by Owain Biddiscombe. Risca's pack kept the pressure on with some excellent scrummaging and some excellent kicking out of hand by Biddy keeping Nelson in their own 22 mts.
After 22 minutes, some good line-out work by Jordan Hughes saw Gareth Smith get over the white wash for a well deserved try converted by Biddy. Nelson struck back with a good try which was not converted. Just one minute before half-time the ever-green Mike Hutchings scored a great try, his fourth of the season, and with very windy conditions the kick by Biddy failed.

Risca remained in charge but only managed one more try by Ben Snell, not converted. With Risca continuing to pressure Nelson,s line Risca,s wings were starved out of the game.
