With a lull in the league fixtures due to the Autumn Internationals Risca visited Blackwood for a friendly on Tuesday evening. Two players played on permit wing Ellis Bedham (Ebbw Vale) and prop Jordan Rogers (Machen).  While returning after injuries were Ben Pesci and Adam Tetley. The first half was a stop start affair with the referee's whistle more prominent than the rugby.Risca got to half time 14pts.- 0 ahead with tries from Joe Carlin and Ellis Bedham both converted.

The second half saw Risca completely dominate and they added another six tries. Carlin got his second, Bedham completed his hat trick while McGovern,Dowle and Pesci also touched down with Dowle adding two conversions.

Blackwood could not cope with the pace that the visitors kept up during the second half and it wasn't until late in the game when Risca made changes up front that the home side got on the scoreboard with a converted try.
