On a dull,dark afternoon Risca put on possibly the best performance of the season to brighten up the supporters who were watching. A solid,dominant forward display together with a superb debut at no.10 from Scott Turner ensured the home side were always in the ascendency for most of the game.

A bonus point win was secured for the first time this season with four tries,one a penalty try and the rest of the points came from the boot of Turner. Dan Meredith at tight head made a huge difference to Risca's forward dominance at scrum time with Senghenydd continually being shunted back.

This win put the Cuckoos on 23pts.and moved them above Brecon into a mid table position and with Blackwood and Brecon due at the Stores field in January hopefully two further home wins will assure Risca 1st.Division status next season.January 2nd.sees the re-arranged Plate fixture away at Aberavon Greenstars.
