The first ten minutes saw Brynmawr gain an early lead after a defensive error followed by holding onto the ball in
the tackle saw the no.10 put over the penalty. This was cancelled out on five minutes when Dowle landed a penalty
for a Brynmawr infringement. Then Brynmawr went back in front with another penalty after a Risca player coming in from the side of the ruck. The Cuckoo's were then dealt a double injury blow when both 2nd.rows Kiaran Lewis and Alex Hawkins had to leave the field with Elliot Bateman and Callum Anderson replacing them.Brynmawr took full advantage
of the disruption in the Risca ranks and by half time had added two tries, one converted to go 18pts.-3 up.The home

doing was defending for long periods.
The second half was a little better for Risca and they began to compete more at the set scrum but try as they may

and wing Josham going off to be replaced by Owain Cooper and Taylor Dimmick.
The game ended with Brynmawr adding another penalty to run out 21pts.-3 winners.
Some players today had the opportunity to impress the coaches with a number of the squad unavailable, but it
seemed from the side that chance was missed with a lot of lack lustre displays.
Next league fixture is at home to Blaenavon 18th.Feb.
