Risca tasted defeat for the third time this season at home, Rumney always had the edge over Risca.
Rumney got the first score with a penalty after 2 minutes, Risca replied through Biddiscombe to level the score, but another penalty by Rumney was followed by a try.
Just on 15 minutes Rumney's scrum over powered Risca to get plenty of possession and the penalty count was mounting against Risca with their discipline falling apart.
On 30 minutes Risca obtained some rare good possession to get within 10 metres of Rumney's line. Both David Ford and Mathew Williams combined well on the resulting scrum, Williams drove through to flip the ball to Rhys Meredith who got the touch down, converted by Biddy.
Within 5 minutes Rumney replied from their own half with some powerful running, Risca's tackling was non existent. Rumney was in under the posts for a seven point try and conversion.
Half-time Risca 10 points Rumney 18 points.
Two minutes into the second half saw Risca score a very good try with Meredith getting his second of the match, the conversion was wide out and failed.
With Risca still giving penalties away they were hanging on to keep in touch.
A penalty and a try by Rumney took them to 26 points which was eleven points in front and in this period they had two players in the sin-bin.
Liam Thomas was introduced from the bench and he kicked two penalties for Risca to obtain a losing bonus point.
Its back to the drawing board for Risca who play on FRIDAY EVENING at 7 o,clock away to Abertillery in the Ben Francis Cup K.O.
