After last weeks defeat at Blaenavon Risca redeemed themselves with an excellent  all-round performance.

Captain Tom Crandon spearheaded Risca's comfortable win with two tries of his own. just on four minutes into the game Crandon got his first try after a super snipe by Rhys Meredith put him under the posts, converted by Gregg Jones.

on fifteen minutes an attack by the Quins broke down on Risca's twenty-two metre line with Gareth Smith on hand to clean-up, he run in under the posts from sixty-five metres for a great solo effort. The Quins replied with a good try which was converted.

Risca scored two more tries before the interval, left wing Mike Burke took the first after a break by Greg Jones with Jones converting wide-out.

Then just on half-time Ben Farley made a good break to put Tom Driver in on the corner flag with  a Jones conversion.

Half-time Risca 28 points Quins 7 points.

After the interval Risca's pack continued to dominate with Crandon, Gareth Smith and Justin Jones always to the fore.

It was pick and drive and pick and drive gaining twenty metres before Crandon once again hit the white wash for his second try, converted by Jones.

Try No 6 was a Greg Jones break who put Farley in wide out the conversion failed.

Lock Justin Jones drove his way through for Louis Tovey to put Rhys Meredith in wide-out.

Mike Burke scored his second try after another power break by Louis Tovey.

The Quins got an excel;lent consolation try, before Risca's pack powered a scrum over the line from five metres out with Todd James getting the final touch-down again the conversion failed.
